Kok Sen Restaurant
Look past the fluorescent lighting, plastic stools, and Formica tables, and you'll be in for a treat at Kok Sen, a humble restaurant where the Wong family has been serving classic Cantonese zi char (wok-fried) dishes for more than 50 years. Try the fish head fried in black bean sauce and the yong tau fu (vegetables like bitter gourd, capsicum, and eggplant stuffed with fish paste). The kitchen gets slammed during busy mealtimes, so nurse a beer while you wait for your order to hit the table.
